San Anselmo tries to avoid disturbing owls while repairing Town Hall tower By Marin Independent Journal POSTED: 12/31/69, 4:00 PM PST | UPDATED: ON 09/29/2012# COMMENTS San Anselmo Netting has been placed around the San Anselmo Town Hall tower to ensure that the owls that nest there during their mating/nesting season don’t return too early. The town needs to do significant maintenance work next spring to replace rotting wood in the tower and put a peaked roof on the structure, officials said. The project will also include the installation of an owl nesting box and possibly a live video streaming camera so the public can view the owls. The town is being advised by Alex Godbe, director of the Hungry Owl Project, www.hungryowl.org. Send us your news: We want more news items from Marin’s cities and towns.
